PWDF: Focus on Mental Disabilities

PWDF News

Education Update

In January, PWDF co-sponsored a continuing legal education workshop entitled “Disability Discrimination Lawsuits: Ensuring Equal Access to Advocacy for Clients with Mental and/or Developmental Disabilities” at the Bar Association of San Francisco. The Education Program will reoffer the workshop online to the public on March 12, 2015. Check back on our website for more information.

PWDF also attended the 57th Project Homeless Connect (PHC) in December at the San Francisco Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. PHC enables nonprofit medical, social service, and other providers to serve homeless San Franciscans with comprehensive services.

PWDF is available for speaking arrangements and training sessions regarding reasonable accommodations, employment, housing and other issues regarding the mentally and/or developmentally disabled population. We have particular expertise in Social Security/SSDI and SSI disability post-entitlement / eligibility issues for beneficiaries with mental and/or developmental disabilities.

For inquiries about PWDF’s Public Awareness and Education Program, please contact our Program Manager, April Banerjee at education@pwdf.org
